Henna is a plant-based dye used in the ancient art form of adorning the skin with beautiful intricate patterns that can last for 4-12 days (red/brown henna only- I do not use black henna). Often used at bachelorette parties before a wedding or important celebration like a baby shower, adorning the bride or mother is a sacred traditional rite in several cultures. It is also a fun event activity that can invite personal insight and community at a party setting. Please be aware that this paste is applied to the skin wet and takes around 10 minutes to dry. It will important not to disturb the paste or wash it off for at least an hour (preferably longer 4+) to get the desired results. The pattern will darken over the next 3 days before it begins to fade.
Please note that is you go in the sun, the dye can last longer in a reverse of the image as henna prevents UV light from tanning the skin while dark.
If the henna paste (wet or dry) comes into contact with fabric or furnishings, it can dye these permanently- so please use caution before going to bed to remove the dried paste well so it cannot dye your sheets or bath towels or clothing.
A minimum or 2 hours required to book Henna Service for more than a single recipient.
